Circular economy

Making every resource count

Cocoa husks are composted into organic amendments or converted by pyrolysis into biochar, helping soils retain water and nutrients.

  1. 1
    Fresh husks

    Collected during pod opening.

  2. 2
    Drying & crushing

    Preparing the organic matter.

  3. 3
    Compost / biochar

    Composting or pyrolysis.

  4. 4
    Back to the soil

Improved soil fertility on the plots.
